Build and stack the Lego! IBM Crew Institut Asia recently organized a One Day Sit Inn for prospective new students. This event wasn’t your usual snooze fest; from insightful sessions to fun Lego activities, it had it all.

The event kicked off promptly at 8 AM in the executive room. The atmosphere was lively yet conducive, everyone calm as they already had their seat numbers. IBM Crew paid attention to every detail to ensure participants’ satisfaction.

At 9 AM sharp, Miss Risa Santoso, the charming rector who holds the record as the youngest rector in Indonesia, opened the ODSI event. Besides her beauty, she was also very engaging, transforming the initially formal atmosphere into a relaxed one.

To get acquainted, Sir Danar introduced the participants to IBM Institute Asia Malang. He not only covered IBM’s background but also introduced the IBM Crew members. Warm greetings were exchanged, making everyone feel closer. Oh, and almost forgot, Sir Danar was a finalist on Indonesia Idol. Shh, sides learning about business, participants also got a chance to enjoy some singing 🤫.

Of course, IBM wouldn’t be IBM without a guest lecturer. We were honored to have Sir. Mario Vernez from the UK. Participants got a glimpse of what lecturers are like, preparing them for their future studies at IBM. It was challenging yet engaging; participants remained focused. The Q&A session heated up as his insights on markets and job prospects resonated with both participants and IBM Crew.

After the serious part, it was time for some fun activities. The organizers set up Lego Serious Play and joined participants in building with Lego bricks. Don’t worry, despite the word ‘serious’, the game was still enjoyable. It wasn’t just play; participants also shared their views on business and personal point of view

The event concluded with a building tour, where participants were taken to visit all IBM facility rooms. From IBM Class to the Lounge and Atap Sore, they saw it all. Before heading home, participants took part in a quiz with prizes, and each took home a souvenir, marking the end of 1st Batch ODSI land fostering camaraderie between IBM Crew and future IBM students.
